Some shortcuts don't work on emacs beginning with C-c -

In Haskell mode, the shortcut ccc = = is defined.

Trying this shortcut, I realized that emacs do not recognize the shortcut cc c - = .

In fact, when I try the shortcut on emacs, writing buffer cc = is not defined, though I pressed cc = = my There is a problem similar to some other symbols. ' Or '§' but the shortcut like cc cl or cccc work.

I try to remove my .emacs , but I have the same trouble.

There is only one problem like my friend

We are both ArchLinux (64 bit) and we use emacs in the console keyboard is an instability.

The problem comes from emacs? Arch Linux?

Your terminal can not send Emacs C - = so that you ' Use the key sequence

  • To run GUI Emacs
  • Use mx name-of-command rt (whatever command You are not able to use the key sequence). Use ch m to see all b > current binding, to learn What are the names of those commands?
  • Create new custom keybinding for the commands given in the question (i.e. binding which can send amax to your terminal .)
  • Advanced key sequence capabilities Find a different terminal emulator along with most of them will not be better than what you have, because they all follow the boundaries of the terminals they are copying. The most capable one I know, but you may need to compile yourself, and after that it is expected to spend a lot of time. (This is not a trivial solution, though, and xterm requires a GUI environment, so the running GUI Emacs too is simple.)
  • Cx < / Kbd> Use C-> Key & gt; Instead of <@ c & lt; Key & gt;

    With that last option, you can not send a sequence to your terminal can send.
    cc c = cc cx @ c = will become <

    If you really want to use that last option, in order to avoid conflicting with existing ones, Em> can be custom binding set scenes to be necessary). See for more information.
